The
wine growing and producing Company Villa Cilnia was founded in the Sixties. In 1994 Maria Segala and Raffaele Gallucci, two entrepreneur from the South of Italy, who fell in love with these places, took over Villa Cilnia. As time went by, their love has become deeper and deeper and due to their cares and to the experience winemaker Franco Bernabei the art of wine making has been given a substantial boost . |

Our
vineyards - Del Quercione, La Domata, dei Gelsomini, dei Lauri, La Tonda
- all specialized and facing south, 250/300 metres high, on an area of 12
hectares (approx. a quarter of an acre) of calcareous and drained soils,
with marls and clay. Our Sangiovese, Cabernet-Sauvignon,
and Merlot grapes are the excellent products of these vineyards, harvested
by hand between the end of September and the beginning of October to produce
our "Fabulous Five", red wines that we are glad to introduce in the following inserts. |
